Trading stocks can be risky, exciting, lucrative, and scary; it creates a lot of emotions. But for many, stock trading is more confusing than anything else. Understanding the game of trading stocks begins with understanding how to do it in the first place. Stock trading is done in one (or both) of two ways: on the exchange-room floor and online.

Stock trading is actually named incorrectly. When you “play the market,” you aren’t actually “trading” stocks—you’re buying and selling different shares of different companies. Trading stocks and the Internet go hand in hand these days; in fact, some markets trade electronically exclusively. However, the exchange room floor is still pretty busy. Ever seen Wall Street? The busy floor, crowded with screaming men, is a fairly accurate representation of what the exchange room floor is like.

The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) is the best-known example of an exchange room floor, and incidentally the subject of the aforementioned movie. The NASDAQ is an electronic stock exchange, which traders access through the Internet.

In either case, average individuals will find that they cannot complete trades either on the floor or on the Internet—at least, not without a stock broker. Here’s how it works: you tell your broker how many shares of what you’d like to buy, the broker checks the availability and buys your stocks. You earn by buying low and selling high, and that’s the name of the game when it comes to trading stocks.

Though you may work through a stock broker, individuals are still in control of their fates. To successfully trade stocks, keep an eye on the market and get a sense of how it works before delving right in. The goal is to sell your stocks for more than what you paid, so keep an eye out for up-and-coming companies, new products and other factors which might increase a company’s stock market worth.

The world of credit cards, credit scores, and most importantly, credit card debt, can be both overwhelming and confusing. Some people manage to go for years without credit cards, but eventually, everyone will run into a financial need which demands an investment greater than they are currently able to afford. School loans, medical bills, car or house purchases — for some things, you need a credit score.
The other problem is actually getting a credit card. You might set out to apply for one, and find that your request has been denied because of lack of information or lack of a credit score. It’s almost a catch-22: you can’t get a credit card without a credit score, but you can’t build a credit score without a credit card. So what do you do?

The answer is simple. Get a prepaid credit card. Prepaid Credit Cards are easy to use, stress-free, and an easy way to build a credit score without having to deal with loophole after loophole. Applying is easy too. You will select the type of card you want, fill out an application, and wait to receive the card in the mail.

The next thing you will do is select how you want money put on to the card. You can fill up the card by visiting any of the over 100,000 retail deposit machines nationwide, or have your checks from work direct-deposited right onto your card. Once you have money on the card, you can use it for whatever you want — rent, clothes, food, insurance. You will pay for what you want, and then you pay your prepaid credit card bill online. The best thing about this is that you don’t have to worry about maxing the card out.

As you continue your purchases and payments, your credit score continues to be built, and you did it the easy way.

Have you ever made a mistake in life? If you even tried to respond in the negative to that, you are just trying to fool yourself. After all, we all do something that is a little dumb every day. It is a sad fact of the human condition that we all make mistakes, and will continue to do so for as long as we do anything more complex than breathing. And as any dead person could tell you, even that can occasionally malfunction. So, it really comes as no surprise that we sometimes make little mistakes when it comes to our debts, and how we use credit in our lives.

It is all too easy when a cute little credit card arrives in the mail to simply think of it as a way to have “extra cash” at the ready, whenever you want it. And when the balance on the card is pretty large, and the payments start to back up a little bit, a payday loan might seem to be the best possible solution to your short term problem of not having enough money. Unfortunately, rather like when you give a mouse a cookie, taking out one loan can turn into a whole bunch of messy debts that you will be responsible for cleaning up.

This is why Debt Consolidation is such a beautiful thing. While it is not the best solution (which would have been having more careful control over your spending in the first place), consolidating your debts into a reasonable, single payment can be the way to “hit the reset button,” and move past the debts that could haunt you for years and years otherwise. The fact of the matter is, you have to pay them back. But you can do so in a controlled way that lets everyone know that you actually will be held accountable for your actions.

1. How do I adjust my privacy settings so people who havent added me can see my profile picture? They say they just see the blue person. I have tried everything!! None of the options are about the profile pic!!

2. When I added heaps of people, I ticked the box that is like Hide from News Feed or whatever, cuz I thought that meant it wouldnt show others that I've added that person.
